Catlike Thieves have been stealing fans since early 2008, rocking their way to new places. These four musicians, from the shores of Durban have an old-school meets funk-blues sound that reaches to the roots of real Rock & Roll. With songs on all the popular campus radio stations across the country, Catlike Thieves have a solid foot in the big wooden door that is the South African music industry.

Their influences range anywhere from good old AC/DC to Yellowcard, Incubus, with a touch of New Found Gory, some Green Day and a bit of classic Beach Boys. The final product is something the band is very proud of and speaks to the heart of the South African nation.

Catlike Thieves entertain with a happy-go-lucky show with lots of feel good tunes…and they do it with style.

The band of thieves has already recorded an amazing four track EP to rock the masses. They have played with some of SA’s top acts and can boast about opening for the likes of Zebra & Giraffe, The Parlotones and even doing a short KZN tour with Stealing Love Jones. Making waves wherever they go the band has carved their mark into the pages of some up-and-coming magazines as well as the music websites of today. Catlike Thieves are band to look out for; they take their performances to a whole new level every time they perform making it a memorable experience for young and old alike.

After returning from their ‘Cash in Transit’ Cape Town Tour in July 2009, this band has lots of cunning plans to take on the South African music scene. At present they are working on the release of their debut album with lots more performances and surprises in store.
